Lauren Loschiavo helps couples navigate the difficult emotional and financial terrain that is divorce.  99% of DMNJ mediations complete with both parties highly satisfied with the outcome even in high conflict divorces.  Ms. Loschiavo has over 15 years of experience mediating divorces.  She is knowledgeable and effective at using her skills and background, as well as her years of experience and training as a mediator through the New Jersey Association of Professional Mediators (NJAPM), to facilitate the divorce mediation process so that conflict is minimized and a fair agreement can be reached.

Lauren LoSchiavo is a highly experienced and fully accredited NJ divorce mediator with a background in mental health.  She received her B.A. in Psychology from New York University and her Masters in Science and Social Work (MSSW) from Columbia University.  Ms. LoSchiavo has mediated numerous divorces in the state of New Jersey.  She is a licensed clinical social worker in New York and New Jersey and has received extensive mediation training and accreditation through the New Jersey Association of Professional Mediators for whom she has conducted webinars, been a panel expert on how to draft a mediated agreement, and been published in conference materials.  Ms. LoSchiavo is a member of the New Jersey Association of Professional Mediators (NJAPM) for which she serves as a supervising mentor to mediator apprentices.  She is also a member of the NASW, currently serves on the accreditation committee for the NJAPM, and is the membership chair of the National Association of Divorce Professionals (NADP) Bergen County Chapter.  She is a New York University certified graduate supervisor and has been a New York University Graduate Field Instructor and assistant adjunct lecturer.  

Ms. LoSchiavo maintains a divorce mediation practice as well as a marriage and family therapy practice, in Ramsey, New Jersey, where she works with couples, individuals, and children.  Ms. LoSchiavo has years of experience helping couples overcome challenges in their relationships whether they are married or in the process of separation or divorce.  Through her extensive work with children, adolescents and adults who have experienced divorce, she has unique insight into how the family court system and litigated divorce process often wreaks havoc on families and relationships for years to come.  At Divorce Mediation of North Jersey (DMNJ), Ms. LoSchiavo works hard to help families and couples maintain the good will in their relationships and to work out  fair and equitable solutions to the matters that are important to them.
